Akademiks Blames Meek Mill For Drake-Kendrick Lamar Beef: ‘He’s A Special Type Of Stupid’

Akademiks has accused Meek Mill of being the catalyst for Drake and Kendrick Lamar‘s history-making back and forth.

During his appearance on the latest episode of the Full Send podcast, which went live on Wednesday (May 15), the polarizing media personality explained why he’s blaming Meek – despite not having anything to do with the beef between K. Dot and Drizzy.

“What we’re seeing even with Drake and Kendrick – it’s Meek Mill’s fault,” he began.

He went on to explain that Meek should have and could have taken Drake out during their own feud in 2015, as Meek had the upper hand as the seasoned battle rapper against the Canadian child star.

“So now it’s given Drake the level of confidence to say, ‘Yo I’ve defeated the battlers of the battlers. These guys really don’t wanna see me.’ … And now we realize Meek Mill – as 50 Cent said – is a special type of stupid. Like literally, anybody could have defeated him. I defeated him on Twitter [and] he just blocked me.

“The guy is so dumb. He’s one of the few people that you’re like, maybe we gave Drake too much credit for beating this guy. … Meek has a remedial, slower person’s brain. If you put an actual able-bodied brain in there, he might have beaten Drake.”

Ak then pointed out Meek’s biggest fumble was tweeting out that Drake uses ghostwriters at the time of their beef, instead of putting that information in a diss song like Pusha T did with revealing Drake’s son.

“Could have been a different type of battle, but who knows. He’s a different type of stupid.”

Akademiks and Meek Mill have a bit of a rancid history, as Ak touched on during the new interview.

The beef stemmed from Ak’s commentary amid Meek being named in Diddy’s latest sexual assault lawsuit.

In March, the beef even promised to turn lucrative after Damon Feldman (the author of the book 16 Minute Man and the CEO of Official Celebrity Boxing) told TMZ that he’d made all the necessary provisions for the pair to sort out their issues in the ring, including booking a venue for and providing a $1 million prize for the winner.

While neither rapper moved forward with the generous offer, Akademiks upped the ante by offering Meek $1 million for the rights to his podcast after the latter announced his plans to enter the media space.

Taking to Twitter in mid-March, the “Times Like This” MC revealed that he has a lot to say, and that a podcast would be best suited to the content he plans on sharing with the world.

“I want a podcast deal I have a a lot to say on many different levels!” he wrote. “If you have a podcast business moving slow I can reverse that! From – meek mill – I’ve always been my own media and I wanna join the culture of black media!

“I wanna partner with somebody already good in the business not just dive in! 2 episodes a month! Yeah just a podcast deal my boy…. I just wanna get in media now and rap to tell reforms stories about the system let others share their stories and address all propraganda [sic]… uplift the black culture … stop beefs publicly.

These posts prompted Akademiks to make the 36-year-old an offer.

“I’ll offer you a Million dollars up front for you for 52 episodes,” he responded in a quote-tweet. “1 a week. We own video and audio, with a option to renew for a second year. Also we buss down ads 50% on any ads we bring in (Prizepicks, Fashionova etc). You can own the podcast, but we share the IP as long as u in the deal.”

Meek Mill subsequently laughed off the proposal, claiming that he and his friends have more money than anyone Akademiks does business with while clarifying that finances are not an issue for him.
