MILAN — As it seeks to expand globally, the Italian high-end furniture and accessories Henge brand said Wednesday that it will open a new flagship in the heart of London’s Chelsea, at 254 Brompton Road. The Milan-based firm said the opening will take place during the London Design Festival on Sept. 19.

Located in London’s design district, the new 6,458-square-foot space will feature four living areas displaying key pieces such as creations from its Floyds Lights Series made in collaboration with Venetian glassmaker Venini and designed by multidisciplinary designer Ugo Cacciatori exclusively for Henge. Its sculptural, marble-clad kitchen named Opera designed by renowned Italian architect and designer Massimo Castagna, will also be on display.

“London is an important hub in the design world and also holds significant value as a key link to our esteemed clientele on a global scale,” chief executive officer Paolo Tormena said in a statement.

Henge debuted its first collection and its artisanal, material-driven design ethos at Salone del Mobile.Milano in 2011 and was founded by Tormena and his partner in life and the brand’s architect Isabella Genovese.

Since its inception, the brand has collaborated with celebrated Italian designers as well as established international creatives such as design firm Yabu Pushelberg.

The brand said the opening of the London flagship represents a further step in growing its global presence. Henge London, which is situated within walking distance of Harrods and fellow Italian design firms like Molteni&C, is expected to become a corporate space and hub for architects and clients from central and northern Europe.

London Design Festival will run between Sept. 14 and 22.
