Ice Spice Clears Up Relationship Status & Central Cee Romance Rumors

Ice Spice has cleared up the near-constant rumors that she might be romantically involved with fellow rapper Central Cee.

In a Rolling Stone profile published on Thursday (July 25), Ice touched on her relationship with the British MC, and put all relationship rumors to rest.

The “Princess Diana” singer insisted that the duo just get along exceedingly well, and that their relationship is platonic.

She said: “We’ve been friends since ‘Munch’ came out, honestly. We’re just twins.”

In that same interview, the Bronx rapper spoke about a rapper she doesn’t have a particularly close relationship with.

She discussed how she gets along with her “Barbie World” collaborator Nicki Minaj, and the news is…mixed.

“We don’t have the closest relationship, you know? But we’re definitely good,” she told RS. “We’re mutuals. We had smash records together. I love us together. I think the world does too.”

Ice also elaborated on text messages of hers that were leaked a few months ago, where she expressed frustration at Minaj over the business details of their “Barbie World” collab.

“I don’t really think she cares about shit like that coming from a random girl,” the “Munch” rapper said of Minaj. “But what I said in those texts was just in a moment of frustration around contract negotiations. I could have chose different words.

“But at the end of the day, regardless of how I felt in that moment, [Nicki] is still somebody I respect as an artist, and I’m always going to admire everything she’s done for me and the culture.”

Those texts first surfaced on May 3 when Baby Storme — herself an aspiring singer and rapper — posted screenshots of a conversation alleged to be between herself and the Bronx native. Ice Spice appears to have confirmed the legitimacy of the messages with her response to Rolling Stone‘s questions about them.

In the screenshots, a woman that Baby Storme alleges is Ice Spice says that Minaj is “like her mom, ungrateful and delusional.” Ice Spice also allegedly said that the Barbie soundtrack project was initially brought to her, and that she then approached Minaj to collaborate with her because “that’s her brand.”

In a second post, Ice Spice can also be seen claiming that the “Starships” rapper is “jealous” of her “because I own my own masters.”
