Stefano Rosso, son of OTB Group Chairman and Founder of Diesel, Renzo Rosso, has been appointed as the new CEO of Marni.

He replaces Barbara Calò who will support him during the transitional period, and he will report to OTB Group CEO, Ubaldo Minelli.

He adds his new role to that of Chairman of Maison Margiela, which was acquired by OTB Group the same year Renzo Rosso created the group (which is an abbreviation of Only The Brave) in 2002.

Renzo Rosso said: “Marni is a unique brand that has built a solid global positioning in the last few years and is followed by a special community of creatives, artists and brand lovers all over the world.

“Stefano will have the important responsibility of fast-tracking Marni’s positioning on the luxury market and the new post is a further step forward in his professional career.

“I believe that his international experience and innovative vision will prove decisive in raising Marni’s iconic profile, reaching an even broader audience.”

Ubaldo Minelli commented: “By appointing Stefano as Marni CEO, we wanted to strengthen the leadership of a brand that is a fundamental driver for the growth of the entire OTB Group.”

Aside from Marni, Maison Margiela and Diesel, other brands in the OTB Group include Amiri, which it acquired in 2019, and Jil Sander – acquired in 2021.

Stefano Rosso is also a board member of the OTB Group and CEO of Brave Virtual Xperience (BVX).
