In June Marks & Spencer promised to freeze its reduced pricing on its school uniform. Now, fellow retail giants Matalan and Tesco have followed suit.
The cost of living crisis remains a concern for three-quarters of families, according to the M&S Family Matters Index. To take the pressure off of families, some of Britain’s biggest high street retailers have announced they’re freezing pricing on school uniforms.
Tesco’s 2024 back-to-school range offers “everything needed for a seamless return to the classroom” without breaking the bank. The retailer has lowered the price of key items across its uniform range. Parents can dress their child for school from as little as £7.00.
The comprehensive uniform collection caters to children from ages three up to sixteen, featuring shorts, trousers, polos, knitwear, skirts, pinafores, sportswear, and footwear. What’s more, the 365-day quality guarantee is now across the entire F&F uniform range, including the extended P.E. kit range, designed to withstand the rigours of school life.
As for Matalan, it has announced its price lock promise on school uniforms, plus extended returns, meaning customers can get prepared early and bag a back-to-school bargain.
With prices locked since 2023, Matalan customer will never pay more for school uniforms.
