Oil futures slip as higher U.S. crude supplies outweigh Middle East, hurricane risks

Crude oil futures added to the previous session’s losses on Wednesday but settled well above the day’s lows, after the U.S. government’s weekly inventory report showed a larger than expected increase as production rose to 13.4M bbl/day, matching the record reached in August.
