SAGNOF: Hail To The Victor

0

Well folks another fantasy season is slowly coming to an end. With roughly 10 games left to go for most teams, our hopes and dreams are either dashed or excitedly awaiting a tremendous payout. I have had a blast bringing some stolen base insights to all of you Razzballeroos who tune in every week.

This will be my last article of the season as I will be traveling again next week.  I wanna thank Grey, Rudy, and Truss for believing in a lowly sports betting/DFS guru when it comes to finding fantasy baseball insight. Contrary to this year’s performances I do have a Top 10 overall RCL finish under my belt, but other than that and sometimes chiming in on the blog there wasn’t much reason for them to let me grace you with my presence for the last six months. Again, super grateful to them and all of you who have read my articles this season. I’ll be back again as draft season gets started in 2025.

To end my articles I wanna point you in the direction of one last guy to grab this week, as there is a good chance he is available in most leagues. (32% Yahoo, 7.2% ESPN) If you need stolen bases and need just a couple to eek out that last point or two this week pick up Victor Robles.

He is leading off every day now for Seattle and has 29 stolen bases on the season while only being caught once. 25 of those steals have come since he joined the Mariners and 11 of them have come in the last 30 games. He is doing it by getting on base with an OBP at .386. The BA won’t hurt you either at .309.

The guy seems like he’s been in the league forever, but he is only 27 so it is possible he just took forever to get going. It looked like he might have turned the corner last year, but it was such a small sample size and this year the Nats had simply moved on. It is possible Seattle find a gem here and I like his prognosis as a top stolen base option going into 2025 as well.

Here’s Our Stolen Base Leaderboard through Monday August 26th

The Speed Dials:

1 for 4 on the Speed Dials last time out.

Overall, that puts us at 16 for 72 on the season.

Remember these are exact dates to pick up and stream steals guys in daily leagues. Where would you be with 16 extra stolen bases?

Today I have listed my picks for each date without a statistical analysis as I am crunched for time. Seems like we hit one almost every week, let’s close with another correct Speed Dial or two shall we?

Cubs vs Athletics – Wednesday September 18th  – Pete Crow-Armstrong

Diamondbacks vs Brewers – Thursday September 19th – Jake McCarthy

Rays vs Athletics  – Friday September 20th – Josh Lowe

Mariners vs Rangers – Saturday September 7th  – Victor Robles

As always, if you’re looking for anything further out for next week where we don’t have exact pitching match-ups hit me up here or on Twitter @TheGreatKnoche
