Peter Hawkings, who has been the Creative Director at Tom Ford since April 2023, has stepped down from the role.

Hawkings first began his career under Ford at Gucci in 1998. He then joined the Tom Ford brand in 2006 and most recently held the role of Senior Vice-President of Menswear.

Peter Hawkings took over from Tom Ford himself when he stepped down last year. At this time, Guillaume Jesel became President and CEO, taking over from Domenico de Sole, the brand’s other Co-founder. The company also appointed Ermenegildo Zegna as CEO of Tom Ford Fashion.

Over the past 14 months, the trio worked together “to ensure a consistent and cohesive image across all products, brand communication and retail”.

As Creative Director, Hawkings led design for the brand’s fashion segment and fashion shows.

Guillaume Jesel, President and CEO at Tom Ford and Luxury Business Development at The Estée Lauder Companies, said:  “I would like to express my gratitude to Peter for his exceptional contributions to Tom Ford from the very beginning,”

Lelio Gavazza, CEO of Tom Ford Fashion, added: “I want to thank Peter for his collaboration since Tom Ford Fashion became part of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group. Along with his team, Peter has contributed to this important initial phase of development. I wish him all the best in his next chapter,”

The Spring-Summer 2025 collection will be presented in the Milan showroom in September 2024.

Tom Ford said that a successor will be announced “in the near future”.
