Shares of 10x Genomics (NASDAQ:TXG) slid 5% amid news that a German patent court has ruled against the company as part of a case involving NanoString’s (NSTGQ) CosMx Spatial Molecular Imager products for RNA detection.
The federal patent court declared the German part of 10xGenomics’ patent No. 2794928B1 invalid. 10xGenomics had asserted NanoString infringed upon the patent with its CosMx products.
Bruker(NASDAQ:BRKR) said in a statement that NanoString will now seek an end to an injunction impacting sales of CosMx in Germany. Bruker acquired NanoString’s businesses on May 6.
NanoString filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February amid ongoing patent litigation with 10xGenomics over its CosMx and GeoMx products.
