- AstraZeneca (NASDAQ:AZN) plans to raise its annual dividend by 7% to $3.10 a share, the biopharmaceutical company announced on Thursday.
- The move takes into account other capital allocation priorities, as well as previously announced acquisitions and business development.
- This uplift is in line with the drugmaker’s “progressive dividend policy,” as part of which it intends to maintain or grow the dividend each year.
- No changes are planned to the company’s normal dividend payment timetable, which is: first interim dividend announced with half-year results and paid in September, and second interim dividend announced with full-year results and paid in March.
