- RSA Conference 2024, the world’s largest cybersecurity event, kicks off today and runs through Thursday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
- The analysts at Wedbush are looking at several key themes in cybersecurity throughout the week, including vendor consolidation, pricing environment, how new SEC reporting requirements are affecting providers and incorporation of artificial intelligence into cybersecurity platforms.
- “While there have been some soft spots on the cyber security landscape over the past few quarters, we believe overall growth looks strong in the sector as the need to protect cloud workloads/data remains one of the highest priority of CIOs in today’s landscape,” said Wedbush’s Daniel Ives and others in a note Monday.
- “We also believe M&A will be a key theme to the cyber security industry this year as the consolidation theme is set to play out among strategic and financial players,” they added.
- Wedbush’s favorite cybersecurity companies include Zscaler (NASDAQ:ZS), Crowdstrike (NASDAQ:CRWD), Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ:PANW), CyberArk (CYBR), Check Point (CHKP) and Okta (OKTA).
- This marks the 33rd year of the RSA Conference, which brings together the world’s top cybersecurity firms with government and business leaders.
