(my favorite roses, Grace Rose Farm)
This is the first Mother’s Day I’ve ever actually spent without my mom. She’s with my dad, Asher, and a few of my brothers visiting my grandpa. She’s exactly where she should be, and I hope that it’s the sunniest, prettiest Mother’s Day for her!! But I do miss her greatly and wish I could give her a big hug today!
My mom is the most special to me. I say this every year, but there isn’t a person I value more in this world than my mom. She’s, of course, my mom, but she’s also my business partner. She drives me insane at times, but she is the woman I look up to most in this world. She’s taught me how to be a good, nice human being. To have good manners, treat everyone with the same amount of respect and kindness, value your family, work insanely hard, and everything else in between.
She’s a real gem, to say the least. My brothers and I are pretty lucky to be so blessed to have her as our mom. I hope she takes time today to soak in the sunshine. She told me that she’s really grateful to be able to have this time to spend with my grandpa and, of course, my dad and some of my siblings too. I also hope she gets to have the most amazing breakfast, which I have a good feeling Asher will help take care of. We’ve been plotting…
To all the moms reading today, I hope your day is spent just the way YOU want it. Pamper yourself, spend time with the people who bring you joy, and give yourself a pat on the back!
In other news, I returned from New York and was greeted with snow. I hesitate even to mention the weather because it’s been so bad that it’s just not anything anyone wants to hear about. All I will say is that I splurged on candles and flowers this week because snow and zero sunshine for a week straight is ROUGH.
However, I’m surviving, and at least it was a very productive (yet very long) week. This project that I’ve been working on is getting so close to completion. I see light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m excited. I’m excited to be done, but I’m even more excited to share all the details soon! I will say that I’ve never worked so hard on a project before; this one will be good!
Many of you have been asking when renovations will begin on our studio space and my house. The answer is so soon. The second I finish working on this project will be the second construction will start. And then I’ll be on the move. As to where I’m headed – well that is the question we are all wondering. I have a few options, so more to come on that front! It’s going to be somewhere different, but hopefully, it’s an exciting new challenge. Plus, summer is almost here, so change is on the horizon. Woohoo!
That is all for today! Have a wonderful Sunday, and to all the moms, enjoy your day!
1. Things i’m loving, wanting, and excited to try.
loving…ordering fresh flowers! They’ve been absolutely saving me this spring! If Popupflorist delivered to Colorado, I would order their fresh bouquets. I also love Fresh Sends, their packaging is so cute, and their bouquets are fun. These would be perfect to send for birthdays or as a thank-you! I also order florals from Terrain. I recently ordered this orange geum bunch – they’re cute! And I just saw they have peonies, so I ordered those up right now! Yay, can’t wait for them!
However, my favorite source is Grace Rose Farm. She has the most stunning garden roses. You can use the code HBH20 for 20% off your order! Gracie was so kind to offer that!
cooking from…Open Wide, Benny Blanco’s new cookbook. This is why I was in New York last week! But I finally got my copy of the book to have and hold for myself and it really is my favorite cookbook. The photos are amazing, and the recipes are even better. It’s fun and cute, and I really think you all will love it too!
everything in my cart (low)…Zara accessories are so fun! These fish earrings are great for days on the beach. I don’t think I could pull these off, but they’re so fun! I do think I could do the snail shell earrings. They’re a little less color, which is more my style.
Asher and I love this zippered shoulder bag, these are really cute denim shorts. I would style them these leather sandals and that shoulder bag. So cute!
listening to…Bryony since her first appearance on the show. I love how she approaches her lifestyle.
. I’ve been followingordering…thinking of ordering this Adidas tee. I think it’s a cute athletic look paired with denim on the bottom.
dreaming of going…Reschio Estate. So so so pretty! Reschio Estate is an ancient estate in the Italian countryside. They have these houses that my mom would LOVE. She is always looking for places like this that can accommodate our entire family. Maybe our next trip is Italy?
planning…fall travel. Stowe, Vermont, is on my list. So many cute places to stay from The Farm Home, to The Green Mountain Inn. I be shopping at The Farm Home Market Place in between viewing the fall leaves, apples, pumpkins, and eating at all the cute restaurants in town. Have you ever been?
ordering…this White Fruit Bowl from Etsy. So cute for summer berries!
wanting…everything for spring and summer from Cult Gaia. They have such fun pieces for warm weather!! Especially love the Cult Gaia accessories!
everything in my cart (beauty)…the NuFACE FIX Line Smoothing Device Starter Kit. Super curious to try this. I love anything that’s meant to help prevent those fine lines!
watching…
. This video scene is my dream. Like my dream. I need a horse you guys!burning…MAR MAR Los Angeles candles. This brand is new to me. I found them on Nordstrom and love that they offer a hand-poured candle made with a GMO-free coconut oil and a cotton wick. Clean candles are a must for me. They offer 4 scents, the Saint Martin candle, North Scented candle, Other Desert Cities candle and Mono No Aware candle. I want to try them all, as they all sounds super intresting and unique.
And then, the Studio McGee Salt & Sea candle is a always a summer favorite. I need to order it now.
everything in my cart (high)…ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always loved dolphins, they’re so special. They also remind me of shopping in Florida with my Nonnie. So, of course, I love this Dolphin Family diamond necklace from Sydney Evan’s.

4. Everything from my AM Uncovered with Danielle.
Some of you may have seen this on Instagram, but I was invited to share my morning routine on Danielle’s AM Uncovered series. I had so much fun filming this in New York. Danielle is just as sweet in person as she is online. We had the best morning! I shared my morning supplement and skincare routine. Many of you have since asked for the product links.
Sharing them all below! This was so much fun! Let me know if you have questions. I love a good morning routine!
5. My Favorite Met Gala Looks.
This year’s Met Gala was one of my favorites. I loved the theme, The Garden of Time. Certainly one of my favorite Met themes to date. Anything with florals will always be high on my list! Asher and I (and even my mom) had fun chatting and gossiping over everyone’s looks. Wanted to share a few of my favorites!

First, I think Kendall Jenner’s was my favorite. I know, no surprise. But I LOVED her Archival 1999 Givenchy gown, long hair, and makeup. I thought she was styled so beautifully.

Then, Gigi Hadid. She wore a Thom Browne gown and the detailing on the dress was stunning. But if you look at the sketches of the dress, the skirt is actually a coat. I LOVE it. And she looked so pretty.

Elle Fanning in Balmain. I’m so in love with this look. You have to look close but her dress looks like Cinderella’s glass slipper. It’s not actually glass, but looks so similar. It’s STUNNING.

I loved both of Zendaya’s looks, but the second look was my favorite. It was Vintage Givenchy and simply stunning.

Taylor Russell’s Loewe dress was perfect.
And Asher really loved Tyla’s look too! It was a custom Balmain gown.
