Pentagon officials are reportedly engaged in talks on how to deal with orders from their Commander-in-Chief – soon to be Donald Trump once again – if they find them to be “controversial.”

CNN reports that these officials are seeking to formulate a response should Trump issue orders to deploy active-duty troops domestically – something he may need to do to carry out his mass deportation plan – or if he opts to fire partisan staffers.

Or, what has gone unsaid: removing troops from Forever War zones. (Note – this has already happened: Remember Syria?)

“We are all preparing and planning for the worst-case scenario, but the reality is that we don’t know how this is going to play out yet,” one defense official tells the outlet.

“Troops are compelled by law to disobey unlawful orders,” another added. “But the question is what happens then – do we see resignations from senior military leaders? Or would they view that as abandoning their people?”

Pentagon Looking To Resist Trump

The problem, of course, lies in the notion of what constitutes an allegedly “unlawful order.”

Trump’s advisers are already formulating plans to execute his promise of mass deportations once he assumes office, potentially involving a national emergency declaration to repurpose assets from the Pentagon to detain and deport illegal immigrants.

He has also promised to invoke the Alien Enemies Act, a wartime law that would allow the president to authorize the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants over the age of 14.

The law states that a president may order non-citizens “to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed as alien enemies” when he or she is deemed as coming from a “hostile nation.”

As President, Trump would certainly have the right to do what he feels necessary to combat against a foreign invasion. Some uber-leftist official (think the Vindmans) stepping in to say it is “unlawful” is not appropriate.

They Fought Back Against Him Before

This isn’t the first time military officials have openly admitted to seeking to subvert Trump’s orders.

General Mark Milley openly conspired with then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to label Trump “crazy” and assure her that the nuclear codes were “safe” following the January 6th protest.

Trump was still in office at the time the conversation took place between Pelosi and Milley, and a military leader was assuring one political party that the President of the United States couldn’t take military action to protect the country if he saw fit.

According to excerpts from a book covered by The Political Insider, Milley reportedly vowed to fight then-President Trump in 2020 “from the inside” and dared those opposed to his actions to arrest him.

“F— that […],” Milley allegedly told his staff following an incident in which a decision was made to remove rioters from Lafayette Square during a protest in June of 2020. “I’ll just fight him.”

“If they want to court-martial me, or put me in prison, have at it,” Milley continued. “But I will fight from the inside.”

Literal insurrection.

Milley, according to a book titled Peril published in September of 2021, assured General Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army of China that the United States military would not strike the communist country.

Perhaps most astonishing was a quote that shows Milley was willing to warn China if an attack was in the works.

“General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time,” he purportedly said. “It’s not going to be a surprise.”

Literal treason.

With employees like this during his first term, those working at the Pentagon right now had better be worried that Trump fires them.
