SAGNOF: DeLoach An Excellent Vintage

0

Hello Razzballeroos. We have reached the final month of the season. Time to fight to get into the money in our fantasy leagues or in my case this year, earn just a little bit of pride. We are winding down our SAGNOF steals articles with only a few more to come before the end of the season.

Today we are going to look real quick at DeLoach. Nestled in the heart of Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, the 21-acre estate offers breathtaking views of vineyards and a serene ambiance for guests to relax and enjoy wine county. Wait that is the description for DeLoach Vineyards….I want to take a quick look at Zach DeLoach.

He’s gotten recalled by the White Sox and should see some regular playing time because what do the White Sox have to lose? Besides the most games in MLB history of course.

He had a rough first go around in the majors slashing just .136/.240.422 in limited action. Since July first in 170 plate appearances, he has gone .322/.409.916. He has a strong BABIP trend across all levels and high exit velocities. He has stolen 20 bases and has only been caught twice. The walk rate is almost at 12% so he will work his way on base as well.

If things go well and you need a few extra steals he could maybe get you 4-5 bags this month and maybe some counting stats as well. Deloach and the Brewer, Brewer Hicklen from last week’s articles are the two guys I am looking at for steals from the list of September Call-ups if they are in the lineup.

The Speed Dials:

1 for 4 on the Speed Dials last time out.

Overall, that puts us at 15 for 68 on the season.

Remember these are exact dates to pick up and stream steals guys in daily leagues. Where would you be with 15 extra stolen bases?

Today I have listed my picks for each date without a statistical analysis as I am crunched for time. Seems like we hit one almost every week.

Rangers vs Yankees – Wednesday September 4th  – Leody Taveras

Mariners vs Athletics – Thursday September 5th – Dylan Moore

Brewers vs Rockies  – Friday September 6th – Garrett Mitchell

Reds vs Mets – Saturday September 7th  – Amed Rosario

As always, if you’re looking for anything further out for next week where we don’t have exact pitching match-ups hit me up here or on Twitter @TheGreatKnoche
