In what might have been its best edition to date, VELD recently took over Toronto’s Downsview Park for a spectacular festival that attendees won’t soon forget.
From ruthless bass music to spellbinding house and techno, VELD’s lineup was as diverse as ever this year. Superstar headliners such as Alesso, FISHER, Kaskade, Marshmello and Martin Garrix took over the festival’s mainstage with their spectacular shows while Eric Prydz’s performance served as an undisputed weekend highlight. The iconic Swedish DJ and producer brought his beloved HOLO show to Canada for the very first time, blowing Toronto’s crowd away with his eye-popping production.

Additional highlights included an infectious throwback set from hometown hero Frank Walker as well as a surprise b2b performance between Loud Luxury and Wax Motif. After VELD revealed that house music icon Green Velvet unfortunately couldn’t make it to Toronto in time for his set, Boys Noize and Wax Motif stepped in to keep the party going with extended sets.

VELD also included fiery performances from the likes of Eric Prydz’s Cirez D alias, Alan Walker, Elderbrook, Alok and Steve Aoki, as well as thunderous dubstep and bass sets from SLANDER, Subtronics, ISOxo, Seven Lions and many more.
