The Seattle Mariners are dead in the water and Michael King, SP ($9,600) smells fresh blood. This offense has been anemic all season long, and that will not change tonight. King is 15 strikeouts away from reaching 200, and sadly, there is a non-zero chance he gets to 200 tonight. The Mariners strikeout at an alarming rate. King should be dominant tonight and is well worth his price tag of $9,600. Let’s see who else we can fit into this lineup for tonight’s 8-game slate starting at 7:05pm EST.

Joey Estes, SP: $6,600 – This is a risky play, no doubt about it. Estes has been up and down all season, coming off of 3 straight 20-point games, followed most recently by a 3 point stinker against the Mariners. The Astros are as dangerous as they come right now, but I already said it was risky. There are plenty of other arms available for a higher price, but I think Estes can provide some value at this price.
Triston Casas, 1B: $4,400 –Casas has been good, not great recently. Let’s label him under the “he’s due” category. He hasn’t homered in his last 15 games and only surpassed 10 points once. Kremer is coming off a nice start for the Orioles, but he is susceptible to giving up runs in bunches. Casas begins a hot streak for the stretch run tonight.
Zack Gelof 2B: $3,200 – When you’re hot, you’re hot. Gelof has 10, 15, and 24 points in his last 3 games and multiple other 20-point performances in his last 15. He’s looking to finish the season strong, and head into Sacramento (yuck) feeling good at the plate. Maybe he can run into another homer tonight, but at worst he can provide us a couple hits and a steal.
Elly De La Cruz, SS: $6,200 – Expensive is an understatement. However, this guy produces in so many ways, that I think he’s worth the risk. IF he’s not connecting with the long ball, he’s a menace on the basepaths where he has 64 steals this year. He faces off against Lance Lynn tonight in a matchup that highly favors De La Cruz. 15-piece minimum coming for De La Cruz tonight.
Lawrence Butler OF: $3,900 – Keep an eye on the lineups with this one. IF he plays, Butler is great value at this price. He’s been nothing short of incredible for the A’s this year, with 21 homers, 54 RBI, 14 steals and a .841 OPS. He had a virus and missed last nights game, which is why I mentioned to keep an eye on the lineups. Butler has been producing at an exceptional rate, he may have slowed down since the end of August, but we know he can get hot at any moment.
Pete Crow-Armstrong, OF: $3,600 – Many question the offensive capabilities of PCA. He’s starting to hold his own at the plate, with a .243 average and 8 homers. The OPS leaves some to be desired, but he’s getting there. He can rack up points on the bases, which is always a welcomed bonus with less expensive players. Let’s also mention that Bobby Miller has been horrible this year. So, start PCA for a nice value OF pick
